Cookie Policy

1. Purpose and scope
JELANI TECHNOLOGIES informs visitors to the jelani.ci Website about technologies that store and read information on their devices and third-party services integrated into the browsing experience. This policy supplements the Privacy Policy.
The preference manager distinguishes technologies necessary for the Website's operation and security from services requiring explicit consent before they load. Simply continuing to browse does not constitute consent.
2. Technologies used on JELANI.CI
JELANI consent management. The Website uses the browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember your choice about loading the external Tally form for six months. This is necessary to retain your expressed preference.
Tally. The relaunch registration form is provided by Tally. It loads only following an explicit user action (“Show the form”, “Accept all” or the relevant customised choice). Loading connects the user to Tally's servers and the technologies necessary for this form.
Cloudflare Turnstile. On the “Suggest a journey” page, Cloudflare Turnstile protects submissions against bots and abuse. This is intended to protect the feature, not for behavioural advertising.
Geoapify and Leaflet. The “Suggest a journey” page uses Geoapify for maps, address search and geocoding, and Leaflet to display the map. Using the map involves technical exchanges with map services to display the requested places.
Supabase. Journey suggestions sent through “Suggest a journey” are processed by a Supabase API with server-side validation and anti-abuse rate limiting. Supabase does not provide advertising tracking on the Website.
Cloudflare and Netim. Cloudflare hosts the Website, serves static resources and provides DNS services; Netim is the domain registrar. Operating the Website involves network exchanges and connection data. Merely using a DNS provider does not mean it places cookies in the browser.
Montserrat typeface. The Website's typeface is used for presentation. A locally served font is not in itself a tracker.
3. Categories and user choices
Necessary technologies. These support navigation, security, prevention of abuse and storage of privacy choices. Where legally exempt, their use does not depend on the choice concerning optional services.
External Tally service. Embedding it on JELANI pages requires explicit activation. Users can refuse the embedded form and continue using the rest of the Website.
Analytics and advertising. JELANI.CI uses neither targeted advertising nor consent-based audience analytics tools. No choice for these categories is requested while they are not in use.
4. Consent banner and withdrawal
The banner offers “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Customise”. Without a choice, optional external services remain disabled. The permanent “Manage my cookies” footer link lets users change or withdraw their choice at any time.
If consent is withdrawn, JELANI stops loading Tally from its pages. Withdrawal does not necessarily remove cookies already placed by third parties on their own domains; users can also manage these in their browser settings.
5. Retention periods
Choices recorded by JELANI's consent manager are kept for six months. Other technical information is retained for periods set according to security or service operation needs and each provider's rules.
6. Provider information
Further information about external technologies is available from their providers: Tally, Geoapify, Supabase et Cloudflare.
7. Contact
For questions about cookies and similar technologies, write to contact@jelani.ci. Your personal data rights are explained in the Privacy Policy.
