1. THE STARTING POINT

   Understand an everyday problem

   In Abidjan, commuting is often difficult to plan ahead. JELANI starts with a simple idea: organise shared transport around recurring needs, rather than starting with technology.

2. JUNE–JULY 2026

   From an idea to a paid pilot

   For five weeks, we tested minibus routes in Abidjan. The pilot recorded 288 valid bookings, 260 paid seats and 37 paying customers. These results are an early signal of usage, not yet a route model replicated at scale.

3. 16 JULY 2026

   Formalising JELANI TECHNOLOGIES

   Incorporating the company in France provided a legal framework for the venture. The team continued developing the product, operations, transport partnerships and demand data.

4. SINCE SUMMER 2026

   Learning and preparing the relaunch

   We use lessons from the pilot to select corridors more effectively, collect travel needs, prepare the relaunch and build sustainable operations. Further routes will be considered progressively, depending on demand and feasibility.

Our path is incremental: test demand, prove the economics of each route, then replicate what works.
